Riding and Road Safety
From February 2012 we are running a BHS Riding and Road Safety course at Bradnant. The course will culminate in the BHS Riding and Road Safety Examination, again here at Bradnant, in April 2012 (date to be confirmed). Below are the details of the course - if you wish to join the course contact us now on 01686 441077.
The course will consist of 8 @ 1 hour theory lessons which will be held on consecutive Monday evenings from 6pm to 7pm starting on 6th February 2012. Each session will cost £10 but if all 8 sessions are paid in advance then the total cost will be £75 (a saving of £5).
Before the final test we will hold a test practice day on a Sunday in April (date to be arranged). The cost of this practice day will be £20 which includes the hire of a Bradnant pony for the day. More details of this day will be made available during the course theory lessons.
The final test is examined at Bradnant as we are an approved BHS Riding and Road Sfety Examination Centre and will be carried out by a BHS Approved Examiner brought in for the day. The cost of the examination is currently £37 for BHS members and under 17's and £50 for non-members. This is a BHS charge. Bradnant will not charge you for the use of our horses or ponies for this examination. More details of the BHS costs can be found here
To take the BHS Ride and Road Safety Exam you must be 12 years old or over on the day of the test.
